Which Western Caribbean ports are best for Maya ruins?
Costa Maya is closest to a major site, with Chacchoben about an hour inland. From Belize City, Altun Ha is a common half-day trip. From Cozumel, mainland sites such as Tulum mean a ferry plus a drive, so they take most of the day.
Where is the best snorkeling on a Western Caribbean cruise?
Cozumel, Roatán and Grand Cayman all sit on clear, reef-lined water. Belize’s barrier reef is excellent too, though reaching it from Belize City involves a boat ride.
